I would like to introduce the world to Maui Green:

Little Maui

She was born in March 2008 which makes her 4 months old. She is a pure bred Jack Russell. She is very playful and affectionate.

We’ve had her for a few days now so I thought I would update everyone:

Saturday – brought her home from the pet store. Her first name: Dottie (Dot).  It was one of those “meant to be” moments.  Our other dog Duke (Chihuauah) is not very happy, but he will have to get used to her.

Sunday – bought supplies. I did not get any sleep cuz I was scared that she would pee on the bed. I feel like a dad with a newly born child.

Monday – Tracy calls in sick to watch Maui and Duke. Trace’s mom decides to call her Lilo. Thinks Dottie is an old lady’s name.

Tuesday – first attempt of confining her in the kitchen. Failure since Tracy’s Dad let her out.  However, she did learn how to climb the stairs on her own.  Maui puppy training stats:

4/4 pooing on the pad

0/7 peeing on the pad (I would have to carry her to the pad)

I’ve have a lot of work to do.

Wednesday – enter Dr. Gupta (Trace’s BFF attending veterinary school in Aug). He gave us some tips on how to potty train Maui.  We decide to finalize her name with Maui Green. Everyone else has a different name for her.  She’s going to be one confused dog.

Thursday – I decided to buy her more chew toys. She meets other dogs at the store and learns how to bark. NOoooo!!! I don’t want her to hate other dogs like Duke.  I will have to take her to the doggy park
